Off-Season Is the Best Time for Big Projects

Big Projects

The height of the summer swimming season is not the optimal time to take your pool out of service for repairs, refurbishment, or expansion. In South Florida in July and August, backyard swimming pools aren’t a luxury, they’re a necessity. So taking yours off-line for days or even weeks at a time simply isn’t practical.

But in the winter off-season — brief as it is in South Florida — maintaining, repairing, or improving your pool is less disruptive. There are a number of weeks where even in the Sunshine State it isn’t practical to swim due to cooler temperatures. That’s why you want to schedule your big service projects.

Schedule Early

Unfortunately, most homeowners will have the same idea. So scheduling pool technicians to repair mechanical devices like pumps and heaters, resurface pool walls and bottoms, or even expand the size or change the shape of your pool during the off-season needs to be done as early as possible.

Scheduling your big project early helps ensure you are at the front of the line when repair and maintenance season begins. If you wait too long, you may have to wait until the warm weather returns and your pool can still be used comfortably. But if your pool is off-line during prime swimming season, it’s going to be both inconvenient and disappointing.
